Check out what is coming…

We are working on some things that will better serve our Dark Sky Photography Community. We are starting this journey. We will create tools to help you engage more with our team. These tools will also help you connect with the dark sky community. Just taking a little longer than I want as I teach myself coding.
We appreciate your patience as we work behind the scenes to redesign our website. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out new features tailored to serve the dark sky community better. We are busy creating new product. 00 They will make your experience more intuitive, inspiring, and accessible. We’re also preparing to launch new products. These products show the spirit of our journey. They embody the creativity we strive to share. If you run into any issues while browsing, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email. We’re still in the troubleshooting phase. Your feedback is valuable. It helps us build something truly meaningful for everyone who loves the night sky.
As we enter the next phase of this journey, I’m looking ahead to sharing more of the experience with you. I will do this through reels and videos that show the heart of dark sky photography. These won’t be generic tutorials or flashy edits. They’ll be real moments captured along the road. You’ll see glimpses of awe-inspiring skies and quiet reflections. It’s the inspiration that only comes from being immersed in nature. I’ll be sharing personal stories from the road. I will also include interviews with fellow photographers and gallery owners. Additionally, I’ll offer practical video forecasts to help you plan your own shoots. You can expect tips and tricks for capturing the night sky. I will share editing techniques that elevate your work. You’ll gain insights from years of chasing light in the dark. My goal is to create content that resonates with adult learners and passionate creatives. I aim to give something that informs and uplifts. It should connect us as a community of artists under the stars.
Next spring, we’ll be introducing in-person photography classes designed with convenience and community in mind. You won’t need to attend expensive conferences or book hotel stays. You’ll be able to schedule a class in your own area. There will be no travel or disruption to your routine. These local sessions allow you and a few friends to learn together. The setting is personalized, and I can focus on the specific skills you want to build. My goal is to meet you where you are, both literally and creatively. The support doesn’t end when class does. I’ll continue to be available to offer guidance. I will share suggestions. I’ll cheer you on as you grow. Teaching is incredibly rewarding. I love witnessing those moments of progress. It is wonderful when someone reaches a new milestone and begins to truly shine.
This fall, I’m hoping to organize a few meet-ups. This will give us a chance to connect face-to-face. We can share the magic of aurora hunting together. Whether you’re a long-time member or just starting to explore the night sky, these gatherings are always a highlight. They are filled with camaraderie, learning, and unforgettable moments under the stars. For those who need more individualized support, I also offer personal tutoring. If you’re looking to deepen your skills or troubleshoot specific challenges, feel free to email me a query. I’d be honored to help you grow in your journey through the dark sky.
We’d love for you to join our Facebook Groups—they’re a vital part of staying connected outside of the classroom. In these spaces, you can share your aurora photos. You can ask for advice. You can even find travel partners for your next sky-chasing adventure. It’s where friendships form, questions find answers, and successes are celebrated. These groups also help us get to know you better, so we can support your journey more personally and meaningfully. Whether you’re just starting or have years of experience, your voice and perspective are always welcome. Please join the appropriate group. We have two residential groups that are by group consensus, are restricted to being residents of that State. This is to keep those groups smaller so members get to know who they meet in the dark. North American Dark Skies is for everyone. It has a broader focus. It’s about anything you can photograph under a dark sky. From Cityscapes, nightscapes, astrophotography, night storm chasing or Aurora photography.
